Kay Pothmann is Director Ocean Freight Europe of BDP International and has been with BDP International for over 6.5 years and is based in Hamburg, Germany, heading the NVOCC activities in the region. Kay has over 25 years of experience in the ocean transportation industry where he spent over 15 years with ocean carriers. He started off his professional career in trade management functions with Hamburg Süd for eight years, followed by two years as line manager for CMA CGM in Miami. He then joined ZIM Integrated Shipping Services Inc. in Hamburg for five years where he built the trade management team for the Europe region. Kay lives just outside of Hamburg with his wife and three children.
