PHILADELPHIA (JANUARY 2017) — BDP International (BDP), a leading privately owned global logistics and transportation solutions company, has hired Brian Kautz as a member of BDP’s executive management team.
Kautz will have overall responsibility for global strategy, planning and operation of BDP’s information systems and technology development activities. He will report directly to BDP Chairman and CEO Richard J. Bolte, Jr.
Before joining BDP, Kautz served as Chief Information Officer for XPO Logistics (formerly Norbert Dentressangle USA / Jacobson Companies). During his tenure at XPO, Kautz implemented statistical visions to drive the organization’s sales. He oversaw strategic consolidations of XPO’s data centers, accruing more than $2 million in cost savings for the company. Additionally, Kautz worked to establish a system of IT governance that included transparent executive reporting, perfect order reporting, KPI reporting and IT customer satisfaction surveys. He also partnered with sales, operations and customers to develop goal-oriented solutions. These efforts led to record sales in 2013-2015. Finally, Kautz oversaw the launch of a new Hong Kong data center and acquired talent to fill permanent staffing positions for a new international division based in Hong Kong and China.
“As we map out the future strategy for BDP, IT will play a crucial role in helping us support our customers grow,” Bolte said. “I am confident that under Kautz’s leadership, our IT department will not only meet best-in-sector standards of performance and professionalism, but exceed them.”
In addition to his work at XPO, Kautz previously held several management positions with increasing responsibilities at Arnold Logistics LLC, New Penn, Hanover Foods Corporation and Keystone Railway Equipment Company. His extensive portfolio of experience speaks for itself, and Brian is also well versed in project management, integration, process engineering, software development, quality assurance and strategic planning.
