PHILADELPHIA, February 12, 2016 - BDP International, a privately-held global logistics and transportation services company based in the U.S., has received a silver-level rating for the second consecutive year for its commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR).
The rating is based on an assessment conducted by EcoVadis, which operates the first collaborative platform providing supplier sustainability ratings for global supply chains across 150 categories and 110 countries.
"This recognition is a testament to our continued commitment to a sustainable global supply chain," said BDP sustainability manager Maureen Malia. "We are proud of this distinction, and look forward to further development of our sustainability programs and initiatives."
Based in France, EcoVadis reviewed BDP's sustainability practices, including its commitment to the environment, health and safety, labor practices, human rights, fair business/operating practices, consumer issues, community involvement and development, and sustainable procurement.
BDP scored among the top 30 percent of companies evaluated, further demonstrating its focus on advancing sustainability practices in the supply-chain industry.
