April 11, 2018 - BDP has opened its first location in Ireland.
Located in Dublin, the office was opened on April 9, 2018. Operations will be overseen by Country Manager Joe Dowling and Operational Manager Simon O’Callaghan. The Ireland office is BDP’s 148th location around the world.
The Dublin office will serve the chemical/petrochemical, healthcare, energy, retail and automotive sectors with a range of logistics services, including ocean/air export, import/export, customs clearance, project logistics, ground transport and warehousing/distribution.
“We’re proud to announce the Ireland office as the newest member of our international network of locations,” said Bob van Buren, BDP International Regional Director, Northern Europe. “By bolstering BDP’s presence in Ireland, we are better equipped to service high-value customers in the region, providing them with our full suite of logistics services.”
With the youngest workforce in Europe (36 percent of the population is under age 25), Ireland has a pro-business attitude and has emerged as an attractive investment center for overseas businesses.
All inbound and outbound shipments controlled by BDP will be transacted through the new Ireland office.
