PSA BDP

BDP is committed to providing the best global logistics solutions for our valued customers and is committed to compliance and safety. As an Indirect Air Carrier (“IAC”), BDP International, Inc. (“BDP”) must maintain an approved security program satisfactory to the Transportation Security Administration (“TSA”). The security program, among other things, requires that BDP establish cargo transferring measures that provide security against threats, including, but not limited, to require only certain qualified employees and authorized representatives to tender (transfer) the cargo to the following entities conducting a passenger or all-cargo operation: a) other IACs; b) air carrier operators; or c) foreign air carriers. In furtherance of BDP’s commitment to safety and compliance, we would like to use this opportunity to highlight a few key requirements of BDP’s security program, which help to provide for the security of your cargo, and the aircraft, persons and property traveling in air transportation:

  • All BDP employees and agents (sub-contracted service providers, also known as Authorized Representatives, or “ARs”, including truck drivers) must have passed a Security Threat Assessment (“STA”) or have another TSA-approved security credential, such as a Customs FAST card, airport SIDA badge, TWIC card or HAZMAT endorsement on a CDL.
  • BDP Indirect Air Carrier Certifications (“IAC Certification”) relating to known and unknown shippers for the specific shipments must be provided to air carrier operators or to other IACs by BDP qualified employees and/or its authorized representative, including approved truck drivers approved by BDP ONLY when offering known shipper or unknown shipper cargo to such air carrier operators or IACs for transport.
  • To ensure cargo security requirements, a shipper or trucker should never provide such IAC Certification, even though it may be certified by a BDP employee or authorized agent when offering cargo to air carrier operators for transport if the trucker delivering the cargo is not a BDP authorized representative and a qualified BDP employee providing the IAC Certification is not present when offering the cargo to the air carrier operator.
  • If BDP has provided you with prior IAC certifications, they should not be used in any future transactions. BDP is fully engaged in providing to our valued customers a safe and legal process for the shipment of its air cargo while meeting the TSA requirements required to minimize risk from terrorist harm during the air transport process.
