PHILADELPHIA (September 21, 2017) — BDP International (BDP), a leading privately owned global logistics and transportation solutions company, has hired Alberto Grajales as Finance Director for Latin America (LATAM), where he will be based in Miami, Fla.
Grajales will serve as the broad-ranging Regional CFO and will oversee all responsibilities for the LATAM financial functions, including robust financial reporting; financial budgeting; planning and forecasting; balance sheet and cash flow, intercompany and agent settle management; and partnering with the LATAM Managing Director, Hector Midolo, and regional country managers to provide financial advice and support as needed.
Grajales will also provide support and direction to all regional accounting personnel, ensure each country within the region is compliant with federal, state, and local tax requirements, and establish and maintain partnerships with external parties including banks and auditors.
Before joining BDP, Grajales served as Director of Business Transformation Products – Latin America for Mondelez International (formerly Kraft Foods). In that role, Grajales oversaw and controlled funding for the business transformation initiatives, and key control activities included review and approval of funding requests, and monitoring of spend and individual project activities.
“Alberto’s expertise is demonstrated by a proven track record of successful business transformation initiatives,” said BDP Chairman and CEO Richard J. Bolte, Jr. “I am confident that he will be an excellent fit for the LATAM region as we continue growing our presence in the region.”
Grajales has an extensive background in finance. In addition to his tenure at Mondelez, he has served in various leadership roles at PricewaterhouseCooper, Verizon and Deutsche Post DHL.
