March 6, 2018 - BDP International, a leading privately owned global logistics and transportation solutions company, has named Fikret Ersoy as Managing Director for the Middle East, Turkey and Africa.
In this newly created position, Ersoy will oversee all operational responsibilities for BDP’s newly integrated regions of the Middle East, Turkey and Africa, including the development, implementation and administration of annual business plans and budgets; leading local sales efforts through direct engagement with corporate and regional sales leadership; directing business development to expand existing relationships; ensuring all local market practices adhere to BDP’s strict compliance standards; engaging with BDP’s executive leadership and board members to align with the company’s overall growth strategy; and delivering the highest level of service to BDP’s global customer base.
Previously, Ersoy served as Regional Director for Turkey and North Africa, where he oversaw the expansion of BDP’s presence in that region. Under his direction, BDP opened offices in Egypt and Morocco in 2016, and then Kenya in January 2018.
“Fikret’s expertise speaks for itself,” said BDP President and Chief Operating Officer Mike Andaloro. “The candor and enthusiasm he has demonstrated over the past several years has brought significant growth for BDP to a market that is crucial to the world’s economy. BDP’s customers in the region will stand to benefit from Fikret’s commitment to BDP’s promise of service excellence and delivering tangible value.”
