September 25, 2018 - BDP International, a leading privately owned global logistics and transportation services company, has opened its fourth office in Egypt.
The new operation is headquartered in Port Said and is overseen by Country Manager Emad Tawfik. Tawfik will report to Fikret Ersoy, BDP’s Managing Director of Middle East, Turkey and Africa.
The Port Said office location continues to solidify BDP’s presence in Africa.
“Africa has been poised as the next frontier for supply chains. As such, BDP International continues to grow with the needs of our customers. With the Port Said location, we now have a presence in each of Egypt’s major ports and strengthen our position in the market,” Ersoy said. “Our team is an esteemed group of highly skilled, eager, passionate and experienced professionals. We look forward to delivering solution-oriented services to our global customers.”
This latest opening adds to BDP’s growing global footprint. The Philadelphia-based logistics and transportation company has 150 offices worldwide.
BDP’s Port Said office will offer chemical, petrochemical, consumer goods, industrial, fast moving consumer goods (FMCG), textile and retail customers with a wide array of services, including:
Port Said is considered one of the most strategic locations on the Mediterranean Sea due to its proximity to the Suez Canal, which connects the Mediterranean with the Red Sea. The port handles nearly 4 million TEUs per year.
