January 18, 2018 - BDP has opened new offices in Nairobi and Mombasa, Kenya. With the addition of these locations, BDP now has 147 office locations around the world.
BDP’s new presence in Kenya serves to provide a more comprehensive scope of logistics services to clients in East Africa. With a youthful, budding population, dynamic private sector, highly skilled workforce and advanced infrastructure, Kenya plays a pivotal role in the region’s industry.
The Kenya facilities will begin to roll out a full range of logistics services on January 18, with capabilities that include air and ocean freight forwarding, customs house brokerage, regulatory and compliance services, overland transportation, multi-modal transportation, project logistics, warehousing and domestic distribution, cargo insurance, and 3PL, llp and 4PL solutions for supply chain consultancy services.
Timothy Muya, Country Manager, will head all operations at BDP’s newly appointed Nairobi head office, as well as a seaport location in Mombasa, which will serve as a gateway in East Africa for ocean cargo destined for Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Democratic Republic of Congo and South Sudan.
“BDP is proud to announce the opening of our newest location in Kenya, marking not only the expansion of our presence in East Africa, but our global network of streamlined, international coverage,” said BDP Chairman and CEO Richard J. Bolte, Jr. “The Kenya offices will play a pivotal role in accommodating the diverse needs of clients located in multiple countries across the region.”
