PHILADELPHIA, March 22, 2016 – BDP International, a leading privately held global logistics and transportation solutions company, has made the first of a series of enhancements to the BDP SmartVu application of its BDPSmart® online customer service portal.
BDP SmartVu provides seamless integration and visibility to all parties in a global supply chain from requisition of a purchase order through final delivery.
The Monitors page of the application has been upgraded with the addition of new filtering options to the search function, guiding users to the data they need with greater efficiency.
“The latest generation of SmartVu provides users with the technology to monitor their supply chains, from the very inception of a purchase order to the final delivery of product with better visual efficiency,” said Ken Wensel, BDP senior vice president of global sales.
Future SmartVu releases will include a streamlined look and feel to match other BDPSmart Suite applications, as well as a dashboard to house the new widgets.
Launched in 2008, BDPSmart provides highly configurable strategic information, as well as tactical, frontline decision-support data through a single-source web portal. It allows shippers to visualize their logistics process and provides performance measurement reports configurable to users’ requirements.
In addition to BDP SmartVu, complementary features include industry-specific dashboards for chemicals and life sciences; compliance performance accountability dashboard; and BDPSmart Tower® for managing chemical, oil and gas companies’ fleets of tanks and containers.
