October 29, 2026 - PSA BDP, a leading global logistics and supply chain solutions provider and a member of the PSA Group, has achieved Good Distribution Practice (GDP) certification through a multi-site certification program involving four countries across Asia, Europe and North America: Singapore, Italy, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
For Life Sciences & Healthcare customers shipping sensitive temperature-controlled products, the certification provides an added level of assurance that PSA BDP's global quality management system meets internationally recognized GDP standards. While the company has long maintained an internal quality program, the external certification provides independent verification of its processes and procedures. This is particularly important for pharmaceutical companies evaluating logistics partners, where quality and compliance are key considerations in the selection process.
GDP certification validates PSA BDP's Global Life Sciences & Healthcare Quality Program, including its standards for qualified suppliers, employee training, and the handling of pharmaceutical products by air, ocean, rail, and road freight. The achievement reflects PSA BDP’s ongoing commitment to quality excellence, reinforced through rigorous customer audits along with close collaboration among teams across multiple locations to prepare for the external assessment.
“Our teams understand the responsibility that comes with handling pharmaceutical and life sciences products. I am incredibly proud of the commitment they have shown throughout this process,” said Darrel Chong, Vice President & Global Vertical Head, Life Sciences & Healthcare at PSA BDP. “Our customers place a great deal of trust in us, and having our quality standards independently validated is an important way to demonstrate that we take that responsibility seriously.”
In line with PSA's Node to Network strategy to strengthen global trade, PSA BDP plans to add more locations to its GDP certification program in the coming years with Belgium, China, India, and Ireland targeted for 2027, extending these standards and benefits to additional markets and customers worldwide.
