BDP International, a leading privately owned global logistics and transportation services company, has received its fourth consecutive silver-level rating for commitment to corporate social responsibility.
The rating is based on an assessment conducted by EcoVadis, which operates the first collaborative platform providing supplier sustainability ratings for global supply chains across 180 purchasing categories and 150 countries.
“When you’re as committed as we are to sustainable business practices, it’s especially gratifying to receive this type of recognition from EcoVadis,” said BDP Global Sustainability Manager Maureen Malia.
“BDP remains fully dedicated to providing sustainable supply-chain solutions and in continuing to spearhead sustainability initiatives that offer real business value for both employees and customers.”
Based in France, EcoVadis reviewed BDP’s sustainability practices, including its commitment to the environment, health and safety, labor practices, human rights, fair business and operating practices, community involvement and development, consumer issues and sustainable procurement.
In this year’s rating, BDP scored among the top 5% in the Other Transportation Support Activities category and in the top 7 percent of suppliers assessed by EcoVadis in all categories — further demonstrating BDP’s focus on advancing sustainability practices in the supply-chain industry.
