PHILADELPHIA, Pennsylvania and CASABLANCA, Morocco (June 9, 2016) – BDP International, a leading privately held global logistics and transportation services company, is opening an office in Casablanca this month.
The new office is overseen by Country Manager Abderrahim Msaidi, who reports to Fikret Ersoy, BDP’s head of North Africa and Turkey.
“Our customers based in Europe and the United States see Morocco as a safe harbor in North Africa with huge potential for additional business growth, and we recognize that opportunity for expansion,” Ersoy said.
Ersoy reports to Yves Letange, BDP’s Managing Director of Europe, North Africa and Turkey. Letange is based in Antwerp, Belgium.
The Casablanca office will offer chemical/petrochemical, healthcare, energy, retail, oil and gas, and automotive industry customers with a wide array of services including: ocean/air export and import; export/import customs clearance; project logistics; ground transport; and warehousing/distribution.
“North Africa is quickly becoming one of the most vital regions for growth in the supply chain world, with a great deal of investment in the expanding infrastructure,” Letange said. “With BDP’s Casablanca location, we continue our commitment to be bullish with growing BDP’s presence in this part of the globe.”
Casablanca Port is the largest in Morocco, handling about 21.3 million tons of cargo per year.
BDP plans to open an additional Morocco office in Tangiers later this year, providing another haven for growth potential.
